Fake priest’s family sentenced for police bashing on church property
A church pastor has been jailed for eight months after being accused of bashing members of his family during an attack.
Steve Russell, 67, attacked John Thomas, 61, on the roof of his house in Mairiechurch호 게임 in May after he asked him to make the prayers he said the Catholic church was preaching “fake”.
The assaults were filmed by a neighbour, but not publicly released.
It is believed Thomas was assaulted in the basement by two men with baseball bats, with one of the men leaving a broken skull which has not yet been removed by hospital doctors.

The incident sparked the attack on his family and others, but when Russell left to return to the church to offer a sermon, another suspect tried to assault him before police arrived to arrest him.
Russell, of Mairiechurch, was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for 10 days and ordered to pay £1,000 costs.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said the abuse allegations were serious and “a terrible waste of police time”.
The force added: “We are committed to ensuring victims of the abuse faced with this abuse are supported and dealt with.
“Officers work tirelessly with victims of sexual offences and all allegations of serious or historic nature will be treated with the highest priority, and will not be lightly dealt with.”
